The award is granted for the best brand name products within the context of the “The Best of Serbia” campaign, which is traditionally organized by the Ministry of Trade and Services of the Republic of Serbia, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the daily economic newspaper "Privredni pregled". The award ceremony took place at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce on December 22, 2009.

A promotional drive will be held from January 15 – February 15, 2010 in the largest outlets of the leading retail chain stores in Serbia. Merix and the other award-winning products will be displayed and sold at specially labeled areas in the shops.
