Teroson History
Founded back in 1898, Teroson is now more than 100 years old.
An "innovative" company - this would certainly have been the consensus about Teroson when the company was founded - had this term been in use way back then. "Innovative" was no doubt the decision made at that time to manufacture products for the up-and-coming automobile, and this spirit of innovation continued with the development of modern bonding and sealing products for use by industries and craftsmen.
The building activities of the Teroson brand - since 1991 part of the Henkel Group - which include bonding, sealing and insulating work carried out on facades and roofs, are looked after by Henkel Bautechnik whose task is to give comprehensive advice and support to the building trade.
Innovation has also become the trademark of Düsseldorf-based Teroson-Bautechnik. In 1993, the world's first self-adhesive and diffusion-impermeable sealing strip for junction seals on windows and facades was developed which can be used at temperatures down to -10° C and even on damp substrates. In 1995, this was followed by the first genuinely diffusion-capable sealing strip for the same application. In 1999, Teroson launched the first (diffusion-impermeable) plasterable window sealing membrane in the market which was complemented by a diffusion-capable variant in 2002.
Thanks to its expert knowledge and special products, Teroson-Bautechnik is close to the needs of its users, which include metal and facade builders as well as roofers. We offer system solutions for all kinds of bonding, sealing and insulating jobs. Our success is based on our consistent quality control and environmental orientation. Proof of this is our certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 and DIN EN ISO 14001 (eco audit).
