Henkel Art.Award. 2004

Henkel Central Eastern Europe Grants Art Award for “Experimental Design“
Henkel Central Eastern Europe (Henkel CEE) invites artists from 18 Central and Eastern European countries to submit their works of art as the basis for participating in the prize competition to win the Henkel Art Award. This year, the award will be granted in the category “Experimental Design.” The award, endowed with 5,000 Euro, is designed to arouse interest and improve the understanding of the CEE region and cultural area.

The process will culminate in an award ceremony as well as an exhibition in Vienna’s Porcia Palace, both of which are to take place at the beginning of November 2004. The exhibition will introduce a selection of the works of art submitted by the artists to the public. The ten new members of the European Union make this year’s Henkel Art Award even more important than in the past. Eight of the new EU accession countries are located in the Central Eastern Europe region, which is crucial to Henkel CEE’s business operations.
