The Ukrainian Ivan Bazak will receive the Henkel Art.Award. for Young Artists CEE, granted to participants of the Artists-in-Residence Program of KulturKontakt Austria. He focuses on issues such as migration and identity, as well as the “Soviet tradition” in painting, and works with different media including painting, objects, photographs, videos and language as well as artistically designed space. His rooms are conceived as the spheres of operation for actors, leading to totally accessible installations.
